Ministry of Investment serves as the central Government institution responsible for promoting and regulating investment in the Republic of South Sudan. The Ministry provides policy direction, investor facilitation, and coordination across sectors to support responsible private sector engagement.

Its mandate includes the development of investment policies, issuance of investment certificates, and oversight of frameworks designed to encourage domestic and international participation in the economy. The Ministry works in collaboration with relevant line ministries and public institutions to improve the business environment and streamline administrative procedures.

Priority sectors include agriculture, infrastructure, energy, mining, manufacturing, and services. Through structured dialogue and engagement, the Ministry seeks to align national development priorities with private sector capability and capital.

The Ministry also plays a convening role, supporting platforms that enable discussion between Government representatives, investors, development partners, and business associations. This approach encourages transparency, clarity of process, and practical engagement.

By providing a defined entry point for investors and maintaining coordination across Government structures, the Ministry contributes to building a predictable and structured investment landscape in South Sudan.
