Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is responsible for the conduct of South Sudan’s foreign relations and international engagement. The Ministry represents the Republic of South Sudan in bilateral and multilateral forums and manages diplomatic missions abroad.
Its mandate includes the development and implementation of foreign policy, coordination of international cooperation, and management of diplomatic protocols. The Ministry works to strengthen political, economic, and development partnerships with regional and global counterparts.
The Ministry also oversees relations with international organisations and supports the negotiation and implementation of treaties and agreements. It provides guidance on consular services and facilitates engagement between Government institutions and foreign missions accredited to South Sudan.
In coordination with other ministries and public institutions, the Ministry aligns external engagement with national priorities, including trade, investment, and development cooperation.
Through structured diplomatic engagement and policy coordination, the Ministry provides the institutional framework for South Sudan’s international relations and cooperation.
